I fished a small tournament on the Detroit River on Saturday the 27th. The fishing was slow. The water temp was about 36-38 degrees. There were very few fish caught. the biggest was a 13.36 #. I think most were jigging. But the hadliners were catching more fish.

The 13.36 is that biggest fish or biggest bag?

We were out on sat. also. We laid a big fat egg, saw only a few nets swinging. We saw the same thing, looked like handliners were catching small males, a few of them we saw had 5 to 7 fish. Next weeks warm temps might improve things. The perch fisherman i talked to did well at the cross dike

Boated 1 today before the wind blew 5 footers over the bow at ambassador bridge, talked to others that had 5 to 9 fish in sporadic locations on the north end, the salt docks on the canadian side seemed to produce for some guys

Where in the river were you?
How deep?
What were you using: Jig/color/minnow/plastic or were you handlining?
Thanks riv r ratt
