I am in the process of changing lower unit oil and when I drained it it came out milky looking. The motor is a honda 90 and is there an easy fix or is it a trip to the dealer. If it is a trip to the dealer what can I expect to pay for repair.

Sounds like new seals are in order ... at least that is the first thing I would guess.
Can't help with the cost as so many good shops charge differently.

Were the 'O' rings on the drain and vent plugs still in good shape. Sometimes they look okay when they are put in for the second or third time...... For all they cost .

the bottom drain plug did not have a o ring on it and the top one looked kinda suspect. The motor was suppose to have been gone through by the dealer I bought the boat from last year but this doesn't appear to be the case. Without those washers would that cause the water in the lower unit? Does anyone have a ball park cost on getting the lower unit pressure checked and the seals replaced? Thank for the infor

What I would do first is filler it up with oil and and put the new O rings in. Go fishing a couple of times and then drop the oil out of it. Drop the oil into a plastic gallon ice cream pail. Let it set for a bit then slowly tilt the pail so you can see the bottom. If you have any water you will see beads, or drops on the bottom of the pail. If it comes out as bad as being milky again only after a couple of goes it's the housing seals.

Matthew,
Just as a heads up.
Not all drain plugs have 0-rings on the plugs to help seal the hole.
However, virtually all of them have some sort of seal.
It may be a flat gasket of some sort of material. It may be a shiny aluminum or copper gasket.

Good luck
