Is there a way to fix a couple small tears in the vinyl side bolsters on my boat? Not really concerned if the repair doesn't look perfect.
Just don't want the tears to get bigger. Thought about smearing some silicone or 3M 5200 on them. The bolsters are white in color. Thanks!

Get some shoe goo or household goo sold by the same Co it repairs vinyl real well and is flexible. I repaired my ATV seat with it and so far so good. Tough stuff and sticks remarkably well with no peeling.

I have used a vinyl repair kit sold at most automotive parts stores. It works well and is clear. Hope this helps you.

I've been using something called VIP gotten at my local harware store, for years and it works really well. I also put a small coat on high abrasion areas,..it gives it another wear layer and can barely be seen. (on what I have used it on anyway.).. it stops all the rips I had,..just make sure its fresh, and the seat oil free.

You can get a "vinyl" repair glue at most hardware and or marine dealers that work rather well. This glue, compared to most other adhesives, really bond to the vinly, and hold very well. The patch will be seen a bit, because as the adhesive bonds to the vinly, it actually tends to very sligtly melt the vinyl for the bond.

But, the reapair is actually stronger than the original material.
