Will let you know? I ordered a half dozen from Cabelas last week. They are suppose to only dive 2-3 feet which will be perfect along the rocky dams i fish at night.

Yes, I am excited about the running depth also. I think the idea of a longer casting but shallow running bait made of balsa is a great idea. Maybe it will eliminate trying to doctor up those floaters to get a little better distance and running depth out of them. There isn't a rattle in these is there? Hope not

I bought one to try it out....They cast real good and father than the orignals. I live on canal and hit neighbors docks I normally don't hit. I need some practice to become more accurate in placing the bait where I want it. The bait has a good swimming action, It dives I don't think it goes 3 feet down with a regular retrieve.

Just got my order and they look pretty good. They have more of a belly than regular floating raps. They weigh 3/8 oz so they should cast alot better?

What's the difference between these and the discontinued Husky 13?
I've got enough Husky 13's to refloat the Titanic. Perch color being one my all time favorites.
The length and weight seem to be the same, but they run alot deeper than the 2 feet that these guys are supposed to run.
Is a bait that only runs 2 feet deep a walleye lure? Running that shallow a steel leader may be needed for good old esox.

A 2 foot running lure can be perfect at night running over the tops of weed growth or other shallow cover. The walleye rules are different after the lights go out.

Good point WAeyes.
I checked them out today at Galyans, they are a little smaller than the old Husky 13's. They should cast well.

Your right they aren't as long as the regular floating Raps, but they have alot more girth and kind of a belly to them. I think they will send off more vibration? I am going out tonight and I intend to fish them all night, right in the rocks. I'll post my results.
I have already lost a half dozen Husky Jerks and Floating Raps this season to the rock gods!
