I have a 2005 Lund 1800 Fisherman, I,m looking for some ideas on
installing side rails to mount rod holders verses drilling holes and setting them. Or a cleat clamp?
Does anyone know if there is a product from Lund or someone else that I can install the track type system, thwillat hold rod holders, like the newer Lunds have.
Thanks for any help:)

I installed the "Ranger type" rails from cabela's on My Pro-V ('03), they work very well. C-man

On my old lund, I installed the Ranger style rails. My only regret is that I didn't got bigger and do it sooner. The flexibility rails allow you is tremendous. You can mount accessories on them, move the accessories, etc. Go rails, you won't regret it.

I love the rails on my Ranger, however, for your Lund you might consider some tracking system as well such as Berts. I have heard good things and those will allow movement as well, plus when nothing is attached you don't have a rail in the way.

I ordered Bert's Downrigger bases and the tracks for them. Once they arrive and are installed. I'll let you know what I think.
I can say, I spoke with Pat Clark directly from Bert's and had a special order (custom height base). Very easy to deal with and more than happy to please. Excellent customer service.

I installed aftermarket rails behind the windshield in my 2005 1800 Lund Fisherman. I used the lund rails, and ordered them through my local Lund dealer. I did have to drill through the gunnel cap though.
