Rod holders on rental boat

Will be taking a Canadian fly in trip this spring (last week in May). I am considering trolling -- walleyes and lake trout.

Any tips for the Lake Trout? I am planning on using spoons like on Lake Michigan.

Looking for rod holders. Am considering the Down East rod holders. Do I need the saltwater series, or will the regular version work?
