Detroit River April 10th

caught a few, one big nice 29" walleye spawned out...lost a bunch today. bite was slower but still a great morning on the water!

Planning on heading over to the river on Wed or Saturday. Heading out of Elizabeth Pk or Wyandotte. New to the river and have been trying for a couple of years. Want to jig and see that there is another tourney and don't want to play bumper boating. Any advice as to where to try.

hey definitely hit the water this weekend! Tomorrow should be good! fish 18-26 fow on shelves and you'll score. the bite turned off a bit today but that's probably cause the water was much cooler than earlier in the week.

Fish 5/8th ounce jigs with dark colour FinS minnows and you'll do fine! make sure to use a stinger as the bite can be light and you'll miss a lot if you don't. good luck!

Thanks Jinx! Made up some stingers today and have black & gold flake minnows and jigs and others. It looks like the FLW Masters are having a tourney next weekend. Do you know if they launch at Elizabeth Park like the tourney this weekend?

Heading up on the 16th. I would also like to avoid the ramps where the tourneys' are launching from. Anyone have any info on this ? :help:
