Here's the deal. I received a TechnaAV from my ex-girlfriend a couple years ago as a gift. We have since broken up. This is where I have a problem. Recently I broke the tip(6 inches) off my Techna and I don't have any of the receipt or warranty info, and I gaurantee my ex would rather watch that stuff burn that give it to me.
What the heck should I do? Is this someting I should talk to Fenwick about or is it a lost cause?

I'd just call them, tell them you lost the receipt, but that it broke, and see what they do. Some years ago my brother broke a fenwick, and I know they took care of him. I'm not sure exactly what he got out of it, free rod or some replacement fee, but it was better than a stick in the eye.

Several years ago a friend of mine caught a Fenwick rod while small mouth fishing on Lake Ontario. A few months later he was clowning around at his camp and stuck it in a ceiling fan and clipped about a foot off the rod. To my surprise he sent it back to Fenwick...and they sent him a new one. True story. I would call them and tell them it was a gift and you have no receipt. Whats the worst they can say?

Maybe ask them if they have a "poor college kid" with no receipt special. LOL;)

i agree that you should send it back and tell them it was a gift and you have no reciept, you will have no problems and you,ll get a new rod.
