I'm trying to find a good left hand crank line counter reel. Anybody know of a good one and where I could order it? I can only find the right hand models in Cabelas and Bass Pro catalogs. Does any manufacturer even make a left hand crank model?? Thanks.
I havent seen a left handed model in the line counter yet.i also like the left handed model, but i am using right handed now. good luck and good fishin.

Don,
I just went through this a while back. I searched for a couple of months but was not able to find a left handed line counter. A lot of people said that they have seen them but when I would reseach the lead it was bogus. The best you can do is get a clip-on line counter with a left handed bait caster. The clip-on counters did not seem to be all that great so I decided on a couple of right handed models.

Thanks to you and to Den. I was afraid that might be the case. I've looked everywhere I could think of, too. I figured if there was even one LH model out there, someone on this board would know about it. Oh, well, back to trying to reel a line counter with the the handle on the "wrong" side.

I also did the exact same kind of search a couple of years ago. The closest I got to any success was talking to Garcia who indicated that they were researching an add-on to their 6500 models. I haven't seen any yet and I don't know if they abandoned the research. At that time they thought that we would see them on the market "in the near future".
Sure seems like there are a lot of us out there that would buy left-handed line counters if someone made them available. How do we get this message out to the manufacturers? I sure would like to see those of you who are sponsored by those companies helping us get the request out there.
hey guys Cabelas or Bass pro i,m not sure which one but one of them sell a combo with a left handed digital line counter reel, i know cause i bought one last winter and as i said it was a combo rod and reel, i,m not sure if your looking for a digital model but thats what they had, i,ll pull out my catalogs and find it if your interested.
