I'm trying to find a good left hand crank line counter reel. Anybody know of a good one and where I could order it? I can only find the right hand models in Cabelas and Bass Pro catalogs. Does any manufacturer even make a left hand crank model?? Thanks.

Don,
I just went through this a while back. I searched for a couple of months but was not able to find a left handed line counter. A lot of people said that they have seen them but when I would reseach the lead it was bogus. The best you can do is get a clip-on line counter with a left handed bait caster. The clip-on counters did not seem to be all that great so I decided on a couple of right handed models.

Thanks to you and to Den. I was afraid that might be the case. I've looked everywhere I could think of, too. I figured if there was even one LH model out there, someone on this board would know about it. Oh, well, back to trying to reel a line counter with the the handle on the "wrong" side.

I also did the exact same kind of search a couple of years ago. The closest I got to any success was talking to Garcia who indicated that they were researching an add-on to their 6500 models. I haven't seen any yet and I don't know if they abandoned the research. At that time they thought that we would see them on the market "in the near future".

Sure seems like there are a lot of us out there that would buy left-handed line counters if someone made them available. How do we get this message out to the manufacturers? I sure would like to see those of you who are sponsored by those companies helping us get the request out there.
