Sandusky Bay

Have heard that they are doing well on walleyes in the Bay, especially by the railroad bridge. However, I know its shallow and wonder about getting in, and staying out of trouble. Would appreciate any suggestions.
Also, when running around the trap nets=are the double flags on the shore side or offshore side,
