My local Fleet Farm has some Risto Raps at clearance of $1.99. Are they any good? I see that they are listed in Precision Trolling.
Thanks.

They will catch fish. But in my opinion they are not even close to as good as the orginal shad rap. Maybe I have just not used them under the right conditions, but unless I change my mind I won't buy anymore.

I don't think they were really designed for walleye. I haven't had much luck for walleye with them. They work all right for pike and smallmouth. I agree that the shad rap works better for walleyes and the fat rap works better for bass.

Sounds good -- I will leave them in the bargain bin.
Is everyone aware that Blue Fox/ Normark sold Rapala not to long ago. They sold it to a Chineese manufacturer that is the largest manufacturer of crank baits in the world. Uri and his buddies have hung up their carving knives. This is why every store in the world has huge bins of Rapala products so cheap. There is no lomger the quality product out there that they made their reputation on. If you don't believe this just take a new one and an old one to a pool and watch how they run. You will never buy another one. P.S. Blue Fox is also gone or about to be.
I wish there was a Fleet Farm near me. I have been looking for some Risto Raps but I can't find anyplace that carries them anymore. I have actually had good luck with them. I'm looking for parrot colored size 7. There have sure been lots of bad posts regarding this bait but I love them for walleyes and especially (dare I say it) them toothless bass.
