lowrance x-85

[Nautical Wheeler]

I use a lowrance x-85 depth finder. How should I properly set it to show accurate depth and fish soundings.

I have messed around with the settings from time to time, but I can't seem to find one that is better than the other. I also have trouble getting "fish" arcs, but I realize that is tough to get in shallow water (10'-14').

Any advice would be appreciated.

Try this link. Steve really give me some good info. It worked for me. Also there is a setting to discriminate surface clutter. I found on mine if you go above 20 on the setting that you lose some of the fish arches. Hope this helps.
