Anybody have any experience pos/neg with Slider Grubs? The link to their homepage is www.fishingworld.com/slider . I'm not associated with them, just interested in your knowledge of the products and how well they work--especially the 3" Bass/Walleye Grub. I've hear good things from one angler, but that's it.
Thanks.

Dennis, I use the panfish version with very good results, I never used them for walleye, but, now that you mention it I will give it a try and let you know. good luck and tight lines.

Dennis-
I've used them for LMB on occassion - particularly when I wanted something to slip through brush without hanging up. I haven't really used them for walleye but I saw what Bassman had to say so I guess I'll give 'em a try for that, too.

The 3 inch slider grub is indeed a very good walleye lure. This is an extremely soft bait, the softness probably adds to their appeal. The action portion of the tail gets bit off quite frequently, they still continue to catch fish without it.
I primarily fish them with an exposed jig head, 1/8 or 1/16 Gopher mushroom head holds them pretty secure. Smoke with silver flake is my best color.
The weedless spider head works thru snags very well. Because the bait is so soft a snap of the wrist is all you need to do to set the hook. When the bite is tough, I like to tip it with a leech or minnow before rigging it self weedless.
They are definitely worth a try.

I have used the crappie slider head and grubs for many years and they make a very snagproof little bait. It works very well for casting around brush and weeds. It is more of a horizontal type bait. I do have a few of the larger baits in my tackle box and have caught a number of bass bnut have never used them for walleyes.
