I just had my LCX-15 installed by my dealer. I downloaded the 2.2 update from the Lowrance web site to the MMC card. There are several files on the MMC (X15mt220.bt1, x15mt220.bt2, etc.). I put the MMC in the slot and turn on the machine. I then try and use the sonar logging. The machine does not recognize the MMC. It says "No MMC cards ready" under "Files" it says "No files on this MMC card". Anbody out there have any ideas??

Thanks for your help.

No, I didn't format the cards. I was able to just load the programs on the card without formatting. Is there a need (and a method) for formatting these cards? Computer diskettes need to be in the proper format before they will accept data. The new software IS on the card. I checked with Windows Explorer.

Thanks,
Pete

Did You download the the Lowrance Update to the hard drive first?
I just upgraded my unit. I installed the Map Create 6 software. Then
the USB MMC Reader software. After that I unzipped the Update File
using the default directory that it suggested. Then I went to that dir. and ran setup. It loaded the new update to the MMC Card. Then I just put it in the LCX 15 and turned it on. The first thing the unit did was load the Upgrade. You didn't say exactly how you did it. If you downloaded the upgrade right from Lowrance to the MMC it won't work.

I downloaded it to my hard drive, unzipped the files and then loaded then on the MMC card. Tech services at Lowrance thinks it is a problem with contacts.

Thanks for the help.

I tried it again while I was at lunch. Thecontacts are bad. The card will read intermittently, but the new software does not load. Lowrance is sending me a new drawer.

Thanks to everyone for their help.
