Just have a quick question whether or not a person needs to fog a four stroke motor in particular thigs like a snowblower or lawnmower or four stroke boat motor. Somebody told me that all you really need to with a four stroke motor is to stabilize the fuel, put some oil into the cylinder and that is it. They told me since the crankcase is full of oil you really don't need to put fogging oil through the carbeurator. So, if someone could please let me know about this I would appreciate. Thank you.

I agree that you don't need to fog a 4 stroke motor, per se. Add fuel stabilizer and run the motor so that the stabilized fuel reaches the carbs. Remove the plug(s) and spray a squirt of fogging oil into the cylinder(s). Turn the motor over a couple times to distribute the oil on the cylinder walls. Also, it is a good idea to change the oil and filter, if equipped.

In all honesty all you really need to do is Stabilize the fuel. Of course if your winterizing I would check your filters and gearlube. Squirting oil into the cylinders does nothing for it. Go to a junk yard and see if you can find a rusty cylinder wall. You won't!
