Ice out Steamboat Lake!

Ice out today! just 1 week ago there was 26 inches of ice and vehicles on the ice, now its all gone! Never seen ice go so fast, only in Minnesota, everything here is extreme, haven't checked Leech but these 2 lakes are side by side and usually about the same.

Dave, My folks used to have a cabin on Steamboat. Back when the resort Lindmo Log Cabins was still in operation. I used to fish it alot when I was a young boy. I am curious as to how the fishing has been over the years. I never knew much about walleye fishing back then and mostly fished for pike and pan fish. I loved that area. Occasionally I drive through the area just for the memories. Last time through it looked like most of the lake was filling up with cabins. It would be neat to hear how the fishing has been there lately.
