Has anyone yet seen a $20 rebate after the Motorla 2-ways were discounted to $29.95? That would make the after discount price ~$10/ each. Thanks.

I know of two people who bought Motorolas just before Christmas and just got their rebate back about three to four weeks ago. Rebate said 8 to 12 weeks I believe?

Still waiting on mine as well...

there's a website where you can check that status of your rebate -

check motorola.com and search for rebates status....

Phidelt157,

I couldn't find the rebate status link. But, this is the rebate link which has been extended through June, for someone who still wants to buy them:

You can check the "status" at the following location:

http://www.motorola.rebatestatus.com/

I checked mine yesterday and it is supposedly being processed. What was odd is that it said the rebate amount was $20. I sent in 6, so I would feel alot better if it said the amount was $120!!

If you check, please post what it says your rebate amount is.

I bought 4 radios, no rebate yet. I checked the motorola rebate status site, and it listed my name 4 times, each with a $20 rebate coming soon.

Just checked the status of mine and here is what I got. Looks like they are getting to them now.

"We have received and processed your submission. You should receive your rebate or premium item soon. Please check back again to receive the date your rebate or premium item was mailed."

The Motorola T6400 looks like a good deal. Does anyone know how big a deal it is to get a FCC license and the costs?

Good Luck!

Have any of you tried the 6200 Motorola? It has built-in NOAA weather alerts. I thought that this would be great to have in a portable unit, particularly just for bad weather emergencies like last night. Is this unit covered under the $20 rebate too? That would make it a very good value.

Thanks for the clarification on the website fellas....

I imagine that because of this board and others, they (motorola) were getting buckets full of rebates each day, slowing down the entire process. I'll continue to be patient.

Mine showed 4 rebates being processed and each one for $20. That would give me a correct rebate total of $80.

Thanks.

Dave,

I sent in two seperate rebate forms for a total of four radios, two on each form. The Rebate Status web site shows that they have processed three rebates @ $20 each. I think I know what the problem might be.

Receipt #1 listed the radios as follows:
T289 1 29.99
T289 1 29.99

Receipt #2 listed the radios as follows:
T289 1 @ 29.99 2 59.98

I circled the 29.99 purchase price on both receipts and suspect that Motorola only gave me credit for one radio on the second receipt. Did your receipt show all 6 radios on one line?

I have submitted an inquiry to Motorola's customer service department which is a link from the Rebate Status web page. Within a few minutes of the submission I got an automated response that I would be contacted within a couple of days about the situation. I'll let you know how things turn out.

Good luck with your rebates!

Today, I bought one more Motorola T289 for $29.95 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The price after a $20 rebate is only $9.95. This is a very, very good deal if only you want to talk to the significant other while he/she is gardening in the back yard!!

Thanks everyone for the responses

IaTag -

I think you are crrect. My receipt listed 1 @ 29.99, then on the same line, 6 179.94. I sent an inquiry myself, and got the same auto response you did. I then received the following response:

Thank you for sending your rebate inquiry. I am showing you have a valid rebate request in our system. Once it has completed processing, a check will be issued and mailed to you. Should you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us at www.rebatestatus.com.

I'll let you know the reply I get after my next inquiry to those idiots.

Dave, I did the same thing. I sent in 2 rebate forms and each one should have been for 2 radios for a total of $80. Instead I see 2 rebates listed for a total of $40. I sent an e-mail via their link and hopefully they will get this straightened out.

I just got off the horn with the folks at Motorola (800)510-2602. the gal I spoke to (Janet) said that they had NO record of my rebate thus far. I told her I was looking at their web page, which stated I was slated for a rebate of $20, which should be $120. Her comment was "the web page is really inaccurate - just ignore it". Sounds like the whole "right hand, left hand" syndrome.

Give them a call!

Dave, the phone number you had was for a Minnesota rebate company, these t289 radios are being processed by an arizona company and their toll free number is 866-277-4221. I spoke to Oliver, and he made it sound like I'm probably still ok but I'm taking a wait and see approach. Try calling this other number!

:) I just went out and checked the status today, and I see my other $40 worth of rebates being processed. Cool, it seems more than a coincidence that I just called yesterday afternoon and it's fixed up this morning, but I'll accept that!
