wyoming deer hunting

I'm fairly new to Wyoiming and live in Cheyenne. Does anyone know an area that I could deer hunt for good bucks (mulie or whitetail) without paying an outfitter. People that have taken me or suggested areas seem to be content with immature deer. I'd rather eat my tag before I shoot a immature buck.

I have been looking at Wyoming for a couple of years, but I don't have enough points yet. Big Piney consistently produces monster mulies. 3 famous bucks, Popeye, Goliath and Morty all came from this area. I have done alot of research and I think it may the best area in the entire country.
