does anyone know if we can find out if you have drawn or not drawn for a non res bear tag. Just wondering i am a little excited!!

They should be out in the next week. I called last week and they said mid june. Good luck if u get it.

Just checked web site, Guess I didn't get lucky this year. seems like I get it for 2 yrs and then skipp a yr. Well depression sets in for a year now. Go on walleye central main page, click on dnr listings, click on minnesota site then bear hunting, you will find the page u need. good luck

thanks i tried that last night must have not been quite ready yet. But i drew pretty pumped up now sorry that i wont see ya up there but if you have ant tips i sure would appreciate them. I already sent up 6 gallons of honey to the guide that is going to bait for me.:phatyo:Bears beware!! but dont eat me!!

If u have a guide u should be good. My only trick is to bait EVERY day. Good luck and shoot a biggin.What county u hunting? I have lots of bait not needed this year.

no guide not paid guide anyway have a buddy that lives up there he is going to bait for me am hunting private ground that he has been trying to get on 4 ever with no luck turns out the guy that owns it my dads best friend from hight school ( I know small world right) so he gave me the ok to hunt it he said he hasn't let anyone hunt it ever and he killed a bear on it ten yers ago as a nuisence tag it was 625 lbs a monster this is why im pumped. What is the best bait in your opinion. like i said i took 6 gal of honey and dropped it off up there when i went fishing last week! Just looking for A few tips..

Bait every day, not in open areas, stay in the low land or next to a swamp. honey or sugar on anything edible is the key for me. u should have no problem on private property. 1 time I had 10 guys decide to target shoot about 200 yards from me. another a guy and his girl decided to ride 4 wheeler around all eavening. last yr i had a guy bait within 75 yards of me, still shot my bear but when stuff like that happens only the young ones come out. u should have no problem on private land for the biggins. Good luck.
