Mojo Rigging is from the bass scene. It's like a Carolina Rig. You use a long, cylindrical shaped weight (kinda looks like a pop can). The lead has a hole through it length wise and you thread your line through it. Once you set your length between the lead and hook, you use a rubber peg or tooth pick to peg the weight on the line. Most guys will use small plastics like frys or centipedes on the hook. It's a real good finese rig for tough fish. It's really popular down in Missouri and Arkansas on the resevoirs like Table Rock and Bull Shoals.

The main advantage is that it provides an easily adjustable weight to change lead length quickly.

i started using mojo weights (and a similar variety by bass pro) last year. i find that they are very snag resistant and use them for several applications. i use the smallest weights instead of split shots and larger sizes as a slip weight or when casting or trolling minnow shaped lures. they are really verastile.
