I have a St. Criox Legend that has the tip broken off. It is about 4 years old. I see that St. Criox does not make this series any more. When I purchased this pole it had a lifetime guarantee. What will a person get in exchange now.
does anyone know their phone number

The phone number is 1-800-826-7042.

They replaced my legend when I broke the tip off about 6 months ago...I don't want to say what they replaced it with, because they may not replace yours with the same, and I don't want to start something here!!...LOL

I'm sure you will be helped.
Good luck,

Juls

Try (800) 826-7042--it worked a year or two ago.

My buddy just took a rod in to get fixed and I asked him to ask them the same question. They will replace it or give you credit toward a new rod. But I can't remember how much and with which rod.

As one of the answerers to this cry for help, I take particular pleasure in noting that REELMAN received three answers (all correct, I believe) within 21 minutes of posting his question. The three answers came with four minutes of each other (hope my figurin' is good here). What a resource! :D

yes, isn't that great.
good news is for just $50 I can upgrade to the Avid that is comparable to the Legend that I have.
I suppose I will do it.
Thanks all!!!!!!!

Actually, if your/my Legend was guaranteed for life and the Avid is the comparable rod, why do we have to pay the $50? I would think that we should get it for an exchange if the rod is faulty. Or did it break from your abuse?

The rod was broken by my own stupidity. I tried to force a 7 foot rod into a rod locker
designed for 6 to 6'6". The jury is still out on if I will pay the money and trade up. The other
option is to take a premiere for no money and only a 2 year warranty.

You're in a quandary !!!

I'd go with the Avid.
I love mine.
$50 is not bad if you broke it.

For the record........

I did some checking and the rod that I would exchange cost me $110 new. The avid replacement would be the AS70MLF2 for $160. That means with the $50.00 cost, I would be getting a rod for the correct value. St. Croix knows their math. I'd go with the avid.

It's a no brainer tourney partner...

Go with the Avid... We'll get you to use it with live bait and the big motor off someday too!
