You are probably backing the trailer too far into the water. I back in only untill the center cradle touches the water then power on the rest of the way. This works well for me and I hope it helps you. Good fishing !

My bunk trailer has load guides. I don't see why they can't work on roller trailers.

I'm somewhat new to boating as well. I had same problem and as posted previously, I was too deep with trailer and I put side bunks on and it helped a ton. Now I'm loading easily and quickly... no more comments from other boaters getting impatient :-) Definitely check into side mount bunks... they make it alot easier. Later...

I load my Tyee 1850 onto a Shorelandr roller trailer. The trailer has side guides at the rear of the trailer, they are posts about three feet or so high. I often load by myself and it is a snap.

Do not back too far into the water, ease the nose of your boat onto the rear of your trailer and let the side guides and rollers center the whole thing for you. The keys are not too far into the water and slow and easy when you put your boat's nose onto the trailer, after everything is centered you can power on if it is allowed.

Good luck.
