Asked Bob for estimate via email. Today is 7th day. Haven't heard anthing. Bought the boat and got insurance from someone else. Business must be really great for Bob. Now I don't know if I got what I needed, but I got it. Anyway, ya just can't buy something if someone doesn't wanna sell it.
Ron W.
Maybe he's on vacation? Just a thought.

Dude - if ever there was someone committed to communication, it's Bob. Trust me, one phone call and you'll know what I mean. Give the guy a break - he's probably on vacation.
Just think it's wrong to come on here and torch the guy without knowing what is going on.
Here's the toll free number - give it a try: 800.339.1235

Sorry Scott. I didn't think I torched anybody. Just stating the facts.

Priceless
My experience mirrors cast_and_blast as far as communication with World Wide Ins., Bob and his staff.

If Bob didn't get back to you, he didn't get the email. Believe me, communication is not a problem with Bob, unless you really need to get off the phone! He will talk your ear off about fishing, which is just what I want for my insurance guy.

I was out of town at Mark Martin's wedding last week. I have an awesome staff and we get all our quotes out within 24 hours. I e-mail the quote and ask my client to give me a call when he recieves it and we go over all the coverage's in detail. If you have not recieve your quote we may have the wrong e-mail. I would appreciate it if you would give me a call and find out what happened. Thanks Bob Luellen 800-339-1235

I sent you a private message, I need your real name to look up the quote and find out what happened. Please give me a chance to find out what happened. Thanks Bob Luellen 800-339-1235

I gave Bob the email that is listed in your profile.
He has emailed you
He has sent you Private Messages
You have not responded.
One email one time is not sufficient.
If you really wanted to contact Bob or his company you would/should have used the phone......you would have got someone the first time.
I think that would have been the responsible thing to do before putting a post like this online.

He has not emailed me.
He has sent a PM and I have responded, albeit 30 hours later.
You're right. One email is not sufficeint. That's why I posted here. Figured he would jump right on it. A reply that is. Seems this spot here at Walleye Central "is" Bob's spot and the perfect place to get his attention.
You're right also. If I really wanted to contact Bob and do business with him a call would have been in order. I emailed 3 insurance sales persons and 2 of them responded within 24 hours. Go figure. 2 outta 3 ain't bad. A phone call would be given to someone I want to do business with. Bob has given me no reason to believe I want to do business with him. Had I received a timely reply to my email he would have been the very first person I called based on what I have read here on this site. I am amazed that you feel I have some respondibility in making a phone call to Bob. Bob has utilized this very medium in conducting his business and the fact is even if I did make a call, it is very likely he wouldn't have answered. Seems he was preoccupied with other matters, as he has indicated. Regardless, one email, one time, is not sufficeint for what?
My intent posting here was to motivate Bob into calling me. Had nothing to do with slamming him or his business. Some folks think otherwise. Too bad for them. Too bad for you too, Golden.

As somebody who sells a product and service I will say a phone call works. E-mail and PM's are great if I'm in the office. If not...........well I don't get 'em.
I don't do business with Bob, I don't even know Bob. But, your original post came off as a bashing even if it wasn't meant to be. Personally I feel it was uncalled for. You had sent your e-mail. You had bought from another source.
You stated you wanted to get Bob's attention, for what? To let him know you bought elsewhere? What's the point? To let others know? Do you think it would stop anybody from picking up the phone to call for a quote?
This world of "instant" self gratification is getting old. This world of me, me, me is getting old.
Bottom line in my opinion the mistake made was in not making a phone call. If nobody returned your call with a quote then you have a legit b.tch
But, it's just one guy's opinion. :smirk:

That's right Dutchboy. I still want Bob's attention. For what, you ask? Again, by all accounts here, Bob's the man, the expert in marine insurance. As I stated before, I needed the insurance to satisfy the bank loan. I still want to make sure I have the proper coverage. I take it you believe that since I already have coverage I no longer need Bob's advise. That's is an incorrect assumption.
As far as instant gratification, you're right. I'm tired of that too. Perhaps I'll have a sense of gratification once I'm certain I have the insurance I need but until then, how would I know unless I speak to an expert. Bob's the man, right?
Not sure what you mean about a mistake being made. About a phone call? There are numerous accounts on this very forum of request for quotes. No phone calls were made. In fact, Bob asks that a call be made to him after a review of the estimate/quote so that a discussion on finer details can be made. Seems like SOP to me.
And finally Dutchboy, I'm not *****in. Sorry you think I am.
Keep those line wet.

Ron, I recieved your quote request this morning for the first time and it has already been sent to you. I have checked everywhere and we necer recieved it before. If I have to go out of town, I have an assistant that checks my e-mail every hour. I'm sorry for the delay but I think when you see the rate you will be very happy. Thanks Bob Luellen

got several PM's, an email, an estimate, and a phone call from Bob. I will get with Bob to review my needs and have him explain a few things to me. Like ACV vs Agreed Value.
I resent to Bob my original email and he replied to it the second time it was sent. I can't explain why he didn't get it the first time. The time stamp and forwarding info shows same everything except for timestamps. Regardless, the original request for a quote was through the email. Not the website. Perhaps this is where some communication broke down.
Bottom line now is Bob's a communicating like the dickens and I'm positive he'll do everything he can to earn my business. Thanks Bob.
