Does anyone know of any tiger muskie lakes near Cheyenne Wyoming across the border in Nebraska? I know Lake Oliver has some but I was wondering if there were other places to find them?

Nebraska no longer stocks tiger muskies and has not for many years. They have been stocking 12" year old straight muskies for 12+ years now. I don't know of anything right across the border. You can catch all the pike you want at Box Butte. Check out www.nefga.org (http://www.nefga.org)

I just checked the stocking report for Oliver and it shows tiger muskies last stocked in 2003. All pure muskie after that. It would seem that any tigers left should be pretty good ones. I haven't fished Oliver for years. Not sure if I could tell a tiger from a pure muskie.
Grayrocks used to have some, but I think they quit stocking them there a long time ago. There might still be a few there - very few would be my guess.
Good fishing,
Keith

For all of us inquiring minds in Minnesota can you let us know some information on Oliver Lake. Size, clarity, depth ect. Oh location might help also. :boozer:
My niece announced they will be relocating to Utah in the near future and maybe I can sling some baits on a visit out there. :raisin:
