J/K Here are the garaged ice fishing lures that had brought me a lot of success last year. I've got photos to show them.

This is more like a slow type of lure. Only a slight down tap to make the fairy wings flutter on it.

Can be fished somewhat aggressive, but finesse it really the key to these modifications. I've snipped the front hook, just my preference, and added a treble to the rear. I crimped the regular hook around the the treble and the treble is held up by a glow rubber bead. Color matching hackle feathers is just a nice touch with a bit of mylar.

Straight forward removal of split rings and tie direct with Fireline. Hook set is big huge improvement.

Just fun to make a doodlebug dance with fairy wings.

Fairy wings added to these spoons and fished with a finesse style of tip tap down. The flap of the fairy wings really calls the fish in. Metal on metal vibrations can work at some of the tough bite periods.

These modifications to the buckshots has made them really noisy lures. I was able to call in catfish from the deep to hammer these lures

Nice lures, I think those have a future. Might want to let Northland know about your modifications.

Why would he have to notify Northland of his modifications? He is only putting on his own personal modification to a lure.

Nice mods on the jigging-raps!!!!Thats all I use for walleye cause I fish the river.I found spoons catch to much current and are pretty much useless.

Perhaps Pete, Northland might like it so much they will make some that way. You sound like a pretty negative guy there. Everything OK?

I had complained about not having a jig version of the Rattl'N Flyer spoon to Lindy and then they came out with it. Only I didn't like the big red hook on it. That was never my idea. I don't know if Northland will really listen to me or not, but I'm just a regular leisure fisherman with a knack to some method to my madness.

I had to make a running change to the retail version of the Northland Fish Fry Minnow Trap: added splitrings and red treble hook and splitring-swivel-splitring and tailspin blade and single red hook.

I had thought they were supposed to come with splitrings and treble hooks but they only come with split treble hooks like those split double frog hooks. What a bummer when you see pictures and even youtubes of the lure and the final retail product comes out with cheap hooks that sometimes hang goofy. What a let down. Hopefully I'll ice some fish regardless.
