Weapon .... How Do You Fish It????

I understand the Weapon is suppose to catch walleye when they're feeding on mayflies.

How do you fish it? Drag it on the bottom? Let it sit still?

Appreciate any hints.

Most drag them behind a drifting boat. Some cast them, count them down and retrieve them. They are not a still fishing option.

Cast and retrive with a slow jigging action by raising your rod tip then lowering it while you reel the slack line in. most of the hits will be on the fall. The hit will feel has if the weapon has disappered (no wieght on the line)set the hook when this happens. Use differnt wieghts to get the lure were you want it in the water depth the fish are or the drift speed and wave hieght. When the water is clear go with goldwhen stained use crartruse or fire tiger. Keep trying differnt retrive speeds and actions. These will catch alot of fish. Good Luck

As Thompson said, I fish them like I would anny weight forward spinner. After all basicaly that is all they are, the weight is just colarado riged in front of a short harness. I think the sliding weight wakes a big difference in being able to detect light bites.
