Is anybody else losing the bottom with their Humminbird 788c? It won't show the bottom even when stopped. Thanks for your input.

Has transducer been bumped or tilted? Settings changed?

I have read on another post on Walleye Central that they had a bad batch of transducers. I just put a 778ci on my boat but I am running it through the US2 transducer on my Terrova. No problems. I would call Humminbird, I bet they will send you a new transducer.

I recently purchased two 788 CI's and the one on the bow works great! However, I did switch to the trolling motor transducer before installation. The one on console has the transom transducer mounted under the back of the boat. This is the one I am having problems with. It does not mark the bottom well as it is very faint compared to the one up front. It is also not marking anything. I also noticed that I lost the speed and temp reading on the sonar view only screen. I did the factory default, etc and nothing worked. I wonder if is the transducer or the head unit?

DOES ANYONE MAKE ANYTHING THAT WORKS ANYMORE.....!

I guess I would try switching the positions of the two 788's - this should answer your question.

Yes, I gonna have to switch the position of the units to see if it is the transducer or the head unit. The bad part is the one up front is mounted in the bow with an in dash mount kit. What a pain in @XX!
