Has anyone mounted this system on a Reata 1850? Any advice on a different system?

Thanks

I put 6" sections of Berts track on the gunwale, I'll pop in 4" high 3 rod holder "T" trees when I want them.

Just use the rails. I personally don't like the Sport Track system especially on a boat with wide gunwhales like a Mr. Pike or ProV. Not only does it recess your rods in several inches, you have the rods handles to walk around.

I'd like to see Lund switch the sport track to the outside of the gunwhale.

Did you mount on the top or the side of the gunwhale?

Better yet on the wide gunnels of ProV why not on top outside edge. Most of the rod holders with the long post or an extension would keep the rod butts up away from the gunnel and also not stick out too far into the boat.

I don't have rails on this boat and I didn't want to install them so I am looking at other options and when I saw the 186GL I thought that was a great idea.
