Everything is set. Oct 6, 7, and 8th at Glendo Res. Scott has set up a page for the Get-together. Goto the Mainpage and click on get-together. There you will find a listing of lodging options in the area and camping information. You can also click on the Glendo State Park Website to gather more info and see a map of the lake and campgrounds. Any info you might need is listed on the get-together page. Hotel rates, phone numbers and Marina info. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions you might have.
Also, for some reason I cannot access the get-together page from my computer. I only get last years info on Lake Erie. Other people are having no problem visiting the site. If anyone else pulls up the old info let me know. Thanks.

One other thing that I forgot. It dawned on me that there might be some anglers in MN, WI, OH, etc., that might want to come out and see Wyoming but don't want to drive or pull their rigs all that way. If you would like to attend but won't be bringing a boat, let me know. I will try to hook people up with other anglers who might need a partner to fish with that weekend.

Well, since you guys chose to make it the same time as the RCL....I will have to miss this one..dang!
Hope you have as much fun there as we did in Huron last fall!
Best wishes,
Juls

Sorry to hear you can't make it Juls. I would really like to see some of the anglers from MN and WI come out so I could learn some new tricks.
Were you able to access the new get-together page?

The Best western listed on the Get-together page has plenty of parking for your boats and a large saloon (bar). It is right off the highway about 20 minutes from the lake. If you don't want to camp this is your best choice.

Hey Neal,
Whens the latest I would have to let you know that I was coming from out east to get a ride on somebody's boat? No, I'm not bringing mine!! I'll bring the Leadcore and Woolybuggers though!!lol..Just an idea so I can think about it....thanks.
PS. whens the east coast one? Is there such a thing? I would have you all at my house, but my fridge doesn't hold that much beer.....

I am just now starting to get an idea who is coming, I am sure there will be some extra baot space available. As far as lodging goes you should be able to reserve a hotel room right up the day we arrive, plus there is over 300 campsites. Wyoming in October is not very crowded. Hope you can make it.

I am about 98% sure I will go and take my boat if it lives through the summer. BYOLJ (Bring your own life jacket). If it's too windy we wouldn't be able to fish anything but the boat ramp because it is a tri-hull puddle jumper. In fact I would love to have an experienced captain on board to show me how to handle the boat in big waves. After being in dkooser's boat at John Martin on Sunday and watching him and his Crestliner effortlessly take on the roughest seas I have ever been in, I know I have a lot to learn.
I will probably pitch a tent, that way I will have more money for whiskey.
I also have an Explorer and with all the gear in it, could take two extra people.
Are we fishing for money?

I'm not worried. I think they would let us weigh carp and trout, so we would have it locked up tight!

I think even you and I can catch walleye's at Glendo. Glendo is a walleye fishery, so I won't be able to fall back on trout. I am sure there are some big browns swimming there, with one of the best trout streams in the country feeding it. But they are few and far between.

Any Browns would be sneaking up into that river that time of year..
You guys are going to camp? I'm just now thawing out from last winter. Do you really think weather will permit? I wouldn't mind doing that if its not too crazy cold....

It's a toss up that time of year. It could be really hot or could blizzard. If it's too cold to sleep it's too cold to fish and you will be able to find me at the Clown's Den on Highway 85 just north of the Colorado border. Bring your one dollar bills!

Usually October is some of the nicest weather of the year. It will still be around 65 to 70 degree's during the day. And probably in the 40s at night. The cabins are a great deal if you get a couple of people to bunk with you.
I have fished the North Platte system for years for trout. The biggest concentration of Brown trout are about 60 miles the the northwest of Glendo. The run out of Pathfinder Res and Alcova usually starts in November and sometimes as late as the first week of December. Thousnds of fish between 4 to 10 lbs swim out of Pathfinder every fall to spawn. Every year several fish inthe teens are caught. The weather can be quite nasty there in December though.

I guess a cabin might be better. How many can you fit in one? How much is it?
Neal/CO

All lodging and camping info is listed on the Get-Together page.
The cabins have two beds and a shower for 58.00 a night. For 69.00 a night double occupancy you can stay at the Best Western. It has a restaurant and bar and planty of parking for your rigs.

I'd be interested in sharing a cabin--even if I had to sleep on the floor. Any restaurants near the cabins?
Also, I'm going to plan on bringing my boat out from Utah if I can find some good company to share it with. It's a '97 1950 Tyee with kicker, elec, and full top if necessary.
Crash, email me if you think you're coming, Dennis@Climbing-Guides.com.

I don't think you will have any trouble finding people to ride in a rig like that.
I will sleep on the floor of a cabin as well. this is starting to remind me of college.

It's the same time as the RCL. Sorry, I'll be in Green Bay or else I'd be there. Glendo is an easier drive from Billings, MT but the RCL pays better.
Next year!
