OK, I'm going to admit to buying the FLYING LURE....and dispite all the laughs,..its caught a surprising number of fish for me ( considering that its not my favorite way to fish and the relatively small amt of time I have used it) Now,..we mostly have Bass habitat here and that is what I have caught with them,...wondering if anyone has caught Walleye with one....and has ANYone,......EVER....caught a fish with the "HELICOPTER"?!
Be brave and adit if you tried these,...or the Banjo Minnow or that one that looks like a worm curling up on itself....Etc.Etc.
My favorite lure is probably the SLUGGO (again for Bass) Wish there were more Walleyes arounfd here.

The banjo minnow worked well for pike when they wanted something slow. I think it's a good bait, but not a cast and wind one...

I just bought the "magic" worms that curl up on themselves. Found them at a discount store and said why not - I'll try them on my July smallmouth trip. I've seen the ads for that lure that hovers over the surface - what a hoot!

I just ordered a bunch of banjo minnows. I use them on my kicker(5ft.) leader, when I handline. I have had good luck with them, but I have also had good luck with Mr. Twister on the kicker.

In some drawer in my house I have a lure that I got from a novelty cataloge that you are supposed to put in two "pills" ,..one I think is supposed to be a scent pill and the other was to make it propel on its own,..diving/surfacing,buzzing around,...it was purchased to be used when a certain friend came out with me fishing and I was to pretend it was a serious thing,..however in 5 years we have never hooked up and I think the tablets are mush now....I also had a gizmo that you attached a lure to it (few feet of leader) and you pulled it toward you for about 4 feet or so,..the water pressure would make it dive with the lure,..but as it came up...it was weighted and angled so that it would carry the lure backward 3more feet than you pulled it,...you could, in time, let out all your line doing this,..(er,.I only tried it once,..didn't catch anything)

I have used both the Flying Lure and Banjo Minnow with success on bass. Have not caught walleyes with either one. The Banjo Minnow is fished like a Sluggo or soft jerk bait. The Walking worms must be pretty good but I caan't justify the price. But Berkley came out with their Bunjee Baits to copy it somewhat.
See ya on the water.
