sent myX-15 in yesterday with the understanding that they would ship another one as soon as they got mine(next day air),and when i called to check on it today they said that they have found a problem with the transformer(s) and are pulling all their stock from the shelves and there is a immediate hold on all units till further notice! now i might not have my unit for opener!!! extreme disappointment has set in! i have my fingers crossed!

I just bought one a month ago. What was your unit doing or not doing?

the unit i sent in yesterday was fading away to black on the sonar screen. i didnt get a chance to see if it did it on the map screen,i was tooo worried it was going to fail on my two week vacation so i sent it in. it would go black like someone was adjusting the contrast tooo dark. now the gentleman in customer service told me that did not sound like the problem they were pulling all the stock off the shelf for,but he would try to help me out so that i could have it for next week. which is very much appreciated! the first one i had,i had for almost a year and i noticed moisture droplets behind the window so they warranted that one for me also. so far customer service has been great!

I just got my X-15 and it doesn't recognize the MMC card unless it is placed in the drawer just so. There are bad contacts in the machine. If I turn the knob on the drawer to lock it, it loses contact. I got a RA number and I gave them my credit card number. They were supposed to ship a unit to me and charge my credit card. My card would then be credited when they received my unit. I hadn't heard anything for a week, so I called Lowrance yesterdayand was told that they would ship out a new unit today. This morning I got a call from the customer service agent who told me they are out of stock (could this be the transformer problem?). When pressed, he said they would try and get a unit out in 3 or 4 days. I said that was fine as I can still use the unit I have, it just doesn't record. For the time being it is OK, but I want it fixed wiothin a reasonable period of time. The major reason I bought this unit was so that I could use the recording feature with the GPS to map structure on my trips to the Gulf, along with mapping features in local lakes. In any case, the problem with replacing my unit may be due to this defect.
