Congrats to Bill Shimota & Nick Fautsch on their 2nd place fininsh on Big Stone today.
Great Job with a tough bite, and only a 1/2lb from winning.
A win and to 2 second place finishes in the first 3 Minnesota WWA Tournaments, not to mention your 4th place finish in the MTT last weekend. You got the Mojo going, enjoy the ride. Will be routing for you to take team of the year.
Congrats to all the other top finishes as well.
"Tough bite" doesn't give justice to the struggle the majority of us had on the water today!
42 Teams at launch....only 16 Teams weighed a fish. Not to mention very cold and windy.
The top weight came in on a boat that was approx. 20 min. late for weigh-in and was DQ'd.
Thanks to Steve Poll for a very well run tournament.
Congratulations to the few that caught em' today!!!

I just wanted to say congratulations to everyone also. We ended up winning it yesterday and would just like to say we had a great time and look forward to next year. I hope we have a better bite next year.

Good job on putting together a winning pattern! How did you deal with that green slime that coated everything that was tossed into the water? And, if you don't mind, could you tell us if you were in the north, middle or south end?
Just trying to learn from a tough day on the lake.
Thanks in advance.

Congrats to all the winners and congrats to Steve Poll for a very well run tournament. Its good to see someone professionally run a tournament and have such a good attitude! Makes me look forward to the tournaments this year!
Doh, didn't know you were there TJ, would have stopped by chatted.
I want to thank Steve also. Even though the fishing kinda bit (not literally) we had a lot of fun, and got to meet a few new people. I'm going to apply a fresh coat of lotion to my very windburned face now.... :)

How did the SD tournament go? Quite a few teams? Did you catch any, Eyez?
Bout the same number of teams - 42 I think, only a few less goose eggs - 21 I think, compared to 25 on saturday. We caught one fish, 1.71 pounds or something like that. I was happy with one fish, considering that the majority got skunked and our prefishing consisted of chatting with Mike and Steve in the gazebo in Ortonville Saturday afternoon. :) Very bad weather sunday morning, huge waves, rain, wind, finally got nice about 1:00 and I could take my parka and bibs off, didn't help the fishing though.

We won on Sat. with two fish that weighed 8.34 lbs. We runned and gunned all day. We casted cranks until our arms felt like they were going to fall off. About half way to the boat we would give the crank a hard jerk and most of the slime would come off. We never went more than 6 miles up the lake. we had 7 spots that we continually went back to.
