Get a good map and you will see off shore flats, many of them. Any of them can hold walleyes and you can find a honey hole all to your self. Dedths can be from 10/11 to 13/14 feet. Most are no-name flats but the Snake Pit is a good example.

i would even be interested in the obvious places!! went there a lot when i was a kid but the only spot i know of are like mokey reef and stoney point, and from sugar point north along the shoreline. oh and maybe like to the south of stoney way down towards the bay,i cant think of the name of the place. is it true the walleyes like the grass early on? i dont know how to fish the grass,i like rocky structure, shoreline areas. i am headed up to stoney point tuesday and i aint comin back till the weekend after opener. first four days without wife and kids!! goin up to shingobee bay for big slab crappies on wed or thursday, cant wait!
