Ran out of my normal yellow hair jigs last weekend. (poor planning on my part) So I tied on a 3/8 oz. Shad Dart. Normally I use these for Saltwater jigging.
WOW!! I had to beat the Eye's back with a stick. I tipped it with half a crawler. The flat face, weight forward head of these jigs give it a very erratic side to side darting action. No little taps either, they were out to kill these things.
You can find them in the Cabelas catalog. Yellow was the hot color, but I want to try white and red too..maybe paint a few green, next time. Anybody else try these? Is it the jig, or would any jig with half a crawler work that day? HHHmmmmm....
