For Ice Fishing and hauling gear to the hunting blind the Big Otter Box on the back of an ATV works great for me. On my 660 Grizzley for ice fishing all my rods minnows jigs and heater are in it, great upgrade

I gota agree Bob. I put one on my Can-Am last year and a set of tracks, Wow what a fishing machine. I know it is slower than a snowmobile but way handier and easier to use, no sled to pull, slush is no problem, etc... I will say that I purchased an augar tube for mine and was a bit unimpressed. It was a 10" augar and it would not fit in the tube with the blade gard on and you can guess the blade cut thru the botton on the first ride across the lake. The gas can works great and there is more than enough room to bing everything you need and then some. Great product!

I also have the auger guard for the box I never put it on didnt care for it, but they make them for a 8" auger and a 10" maybe you had the wrong size. Tracks would be nice tho.

You also have a nice setup for icefishing.

Mark, this is the machine I use when the snow gets real DEEP

Nice rig.

There are a couple new useful and cost effective options out for the open ice ranger that I think you will quickly see as worth a look.

A very nifty system for added traction and flotation is made in SD, the company's name is J-WHEELZ. They have a website and it's easy to find with a quick Google.

This is one smart and easy to use system. You do not loose top end road speed, it adds stability and safety from tips on a steep grade, and the enhanced traction performance in deep snow and mud is phenomenal. An ATV will actually float with this system on, and if you dig you will see some guys running them on water...preaty Kewl!.

Cost wise, this is a bargan traction enhancment system in comparison to trax systems, under $600 for most models, and easily installed and removed in 15 minutes as needed. Well worth a look.

Another worthy mention is the new Digger Ice Auger Carrier system, StikeMaster is also offering it through there distribution system as well this season.

This system is Very adaptable for ATV's, UTV's, Snowmobiles, WilCraft units, Snow Bears, trailers, ...even trucks and permanent shacks.

A key compliment and feature of this new Digger Ice Auger Carrier system is it has 1 clamp and a 2 point support frame.

No straps to break or loose, no stray parts to loose on the ice, no bouncing on the power head or the cutting surfaces of the blades. With one movement your ice auger is rock solid secure and safe. Very key is you never a need to remove your gloves to place the auger on the carrier, or to remove it. On and off in seconds. They run about $89.

You are correct, I thought I ordered the 10". That is one sweet rig and it floats! That could come in handy and breaking thru is always on my mind no matter where I am and no matter what time of the ice fishing season it is. I have already made my own version of back water eddy's mentioned augar holder and have made several fro friends that lake trout fish and they work well.

Good fishin!!
