You are not entitled to fishing with pro's during the pre-fish days.
If you ask around the night before or hang out at the launches your chances are fairly good. You would be wise to be polite and offer to help with expenses for the day.

Striker, Im going to be ther fishing on the pro side and would love to take you out for a day. And if you can catch alot of fish I will probably take you out all 5 days of prefishing. Have you fished winnabago before, that will help someone like me who has never been there before. Looking forward to the event very much. I expect a tough tournament cause there is a tournament there every weekend in june. Could make the fishing tough for everyone, but that is the way I like it. Leave a post under this one as to how I can reach you.

Are there still openings for ametures for the Winnebago PWT in June? I've never fished a tornament before. I was thinking of trying it but was uncomfortable being a burden to a pro. I live about 60 miles from the lake and I fish Winnebago several times a year. Went out on 5/4 and did OK.

For those of you wanting to get out to prefish with a Pro. Go to the Otter Street Tounament weigh-in on Sat. and Sun. 15th and 16th. You'll see a lot of them there. Don't be shy. Just ask them if they need a partner for a day. You just might get a nibble or two.

Stick,
I beleive there are still openings for the Winnebago PWT ameteur side. Go to professionalwalleyetrail.com for info. I'm fishing my first PWT event as an ameteur this summer when they come to Winnebago. It sounds like you have fishing experience on Winnebago so don't worry about being a burden.

The advice given about being at the boat launch bright, and early with your gear is a good idea. I have taken anglers pre-fishing with me that I meet at the dock on occasion. Every one has been an enjoyable partner for the day!
Tight lines to all, and see ya in Osh Kosh!

Stick, I garuntee you probably can get in the tournament still. Just call Mr. Kalkofin himself and tell him steve kagarise from ohio told you to call and he will let you in. Not that I have any pull behind me but he told me to find an ameture co angler to get into tournament. Also I will be fishing pro side and would love to take you prefishing if you have a chance. Leave your E-mail or how I can get a hold of you, and I will get a hold of you in a week or two.
What exactly is a pro's pro??????????????????????????? I dont believe I have ever met one yet......
