I have been donating a few to many cranks and jigs due to Zebra Muscles. Are there any fishing lines that you've found that do well bouncing over them? Any other ideas?

Use to have to retie each time I hit rocks because of the zebra's. 1st switched to 5 ft 20# (8 lb diameter) fireline leader either direct tied to 10# mono or with small barrel swivel. Worked like a charm, usually 1 or maybe 2 reties per evening trip. No change in catch rate.
Eventually switched to spooling with fireline and have never looked back. 14# is ok too, but 20# holds up a bit better. It will fray some, but retains plenty of strength until the fraying gets real bad.
If spooling with fireline, set your drags light.

My input in the prev. post is directed towards trolling.
I use 10# (4 lb dia)fireline jigging but I'm not a jigger and I think the jig fishers that use fireline go smaller dia.

I am from Green Bay, WI; and the Bay here has been over-run by these critters. We switched to Silverthread lines a few years back, for this reason. This line is very abrasion resistant, and seems to hold up well. I think these Zebras are the best thing that has happened to our bay, the water clarity and cleanliness has increased tremendously. But we now need to adapt to different equipment as well as different fish habits. I think you will like the Silverthread line, if you can find it. I bought some 3000 yard spools through NPAA "members only" program so I haven't had to look for it myself. Good luck.
