I just got back into shooting. Went to a course the other day - I suck!
What is the best gauge for that type of shooting or does it matter? I used a 20G o/u:muahaha:

I just use trap loads, with an i/c or mod choke. I will use 7 1/2 or 8s, whatever I have on hand. gun handling basics play a much bigger part than you might think! like, bring the gun to your face, not your face to the gun, etc. a lot of trigger time is good, too!

I used to always use an old favorite 12ga SxS (1947 Fox) my Dad got when he came home from the Pacific campaign and the occupation of Japan. I am pretty darn good with it, as I have been shooting it my whole life. But recently I discovered I am darn near perfect with a little 20Ga Beretta youth autoloader I recently picked up for my 10 year old. That got me into a whole length of pull comparison etc between 8 shotguns ... discovered that despite being 5-11 and decidedly mesomorph, I shoot shorter LOP's better, but thats another story.. Use 7 1/2's out of either gun, 1 oz. in the 20, 1 1/4 oz in the 12.
