Looking to pick up new portable.
Yukon center ht 70" , Voyager 75". (70" head will hit, 75 does not)
Yukon wt 83, Voyager 95
I mainly fish with another guy but I will fish more alone when I pick up this new portable. I sold my Otter Large with Resort because of the weight. If I go with the Yukon TC or Voager TCX were talking about 110lbs. Do you think the TC or TCX are worth the extra $$?
I am 50 years old and want to be able to load/unload from my truck with out busting a nut.
So for those of you that have these what do you think?
Thanks for your imput!

I've got an Otter Lodge and love it --- big, roomy, tall center height, etc. But like you said, HEAVY. I'm at the point now where I only use the Lodge if I can drive on the ice and don't have to pull it by hand, or if I'm bringing my ATV and pulling the Lodge with it. And I have to use ramps to get it in/out of the truck by myself.
I'm keeping my Otter but last year I added another house, a Frabill Trekker. It's much lighter, only 70 lbs or so if I remember right, and it is a BREEZE to get in/out of the truck by myself with no ramps, and even to pull across the lake by hand. My kid and I ended up using the Frabill a lot more than the Otter last year. The Frabill is a little smaller than I really wanted, but with the light weight it was a GREAT trade-off and made it much more enjoyable to go fishing, and to fish in spots that were a farther walk across the ice.
Not sure if that helps you or not, but I am REALLY GLAD I went with the light weight option in my situation.

I bought the yukon - strictly because it fit in my truck. The other one was too long. I am 6'1" and have no problem with height. For lifting the house - your going to lift the one end to the tail gait and then lift up on the other end to push it in. The longer one is going to be just as easy if not easier to load.
If you can fit the voyager in your truck - get that one. It has more fishing space.

I am in the market to purchase a new house. I am either going to purchase the Yukon TCX or Denali II. The Yukon is 65" long and my box is 66". They don't always factor in the arms and the shell when they measure.
Do you or anyone else on here have the Yukon and if it will fit in the Ford F-150 5 1/2' box and be able to close the end-gate?
Also, is it shallow enough to close the tonneau cover over it?
The Denali is a great option also. Two fisherman back to back is pretty cool allowing more space for each fisherman. My fishing buddy has one and it was nice for the two of us. The Yukon seems just wide enough to accomodate two guys comfortably.

Stinkycat, Any time you want to check out my Voyager your welcome to try it out on an area lake (as soon as the ice is thick enough).
