Who is going? I believe the dates are Dec 3-5, 2010. For those of you that have been to the show in the past is it worth a 3 hour drive to get there. Thinking about going this year.
THanks!

I be getting down there at one point or another over the weekend. It is a great chance to see all the different gear in person and try on/out a lot of it.
I'm going to be looking for a new pair of bibs, so it will be good to see them all in person. But I live in St. Paul, so its a 10 minute drive for me to get there.
You will see some novelty stuff there that you wont be able to find anywhere else, but for the most part it is the same stuff you will see at any sporting goods store.
The big benifit is being able to cross shop Reeds, Thorne Bros and Joes at the same time. And the manufacturer booths sometimes have some good deals (strikemaster extension for 10 bucks).
You can find some decent deals on some stuff, especially some of the bigger ticket items - flashers, portables, cameras. So if you are in the market for something like that it might be worth the drive. But I doubt the savings would pay for your gas.
They have some seminars and such too, but I have never enjoyed those as much as I should.
I always enjoy going, but I'm not sure it would be worth the long drive to me. If nothing else you get to rub shoulders with your fellow ice anglers and elite anglers.
I'll be the guy there buying stuff I dont really need, say hi if you see me. ;)
