Looking for usual lake info. How's the bass, walleye, northern fishing? How's the water clarity, good for swimming? Is the lake big enough for skiing and tubing? Are there any boat launches on the lake? Can I get to 6th and 5th CWL's with a 17' Crestliner Sportfish/115 Evin. or do I need a smaller boat? I've checked the DNR site, but also wanted to get some first hand information.
As always, thanks for any information,
Joel B.

I never pay attention to wild rice, but now I'll be looking for it thanks to you.
I grew up in that area (4th Crow wing) and still get over that way occasionally. NO!! You can't take your boat from 7th into 6th or 5th! The whole river chain is very shallow. Canoe only! The fishing is average at best. Some nice bass in the rice/bulrushes that surrond the lake. They are underfished and dumb. Excellent bluegill and crappie along the north shore just outside the bullrush's. Snake size pike. Walleyes can be found on the east end near the river inlet and there's a sunken island on that end that produces well. To my knowledge there is no public access. I put in at Evergreen Resort which is south of Nevis on cnty. rd. 13. If you must fish 6&5 you will have to trailer south on 13 a few miles and put in at the access on 6th. You can go through the short channel into 5 with your boat.
