I have a Cabela's model 800 two output charger for a 24-volt system for my trolling motor. As the boat sits in the garage, I plug in the charger periodically. Everytime, both "green" lights came on, indicating a full charge. When I tried to run the electric trolling motor, it wouldn't move. I tested the batteries, and found one was bad, and one was just low but would accept a charge. How come the on board charger didn't charge the one good battery? Does this mean the charger is malfunctioning, or is this typical that if one battery is bad it won't charge either?
