I'm doomed! If they don't reopen the factory, I guess I'm destined to run my old 1890BT forever, not that it would upset my wife if I never bought another new boat-jerr

As a fellow tiller guy (Alum 185 TP)
I've allways liked that 1890T boat
Perfect size and the drie ride of a glass boat. So enjoy it while you can

Maybe I'm too used to fishing it, but I do get a lot of good feed back from guys on the water. The old girl does have a couple slight drawbacks but for the most part I've really come to like the way it rides and handles. Gas prices being the way they are the Yammi F115 is pretty economical to run. Okay, 'nuff said, commercial's over- - jerr

JinxCanada did nothing but complain about his boat from day one. He bought it site unseen and couldn't get it to do what he thought it should. That being said, I have had a 2090BT for several years and couldn't be happier. It is the best boat I have ever had. Before the Warrior, I had a Ranger. Nice boat but rotten ride. Also, the floor plan was to closed in for my comfort. Hopefully someone will reopen the plant soon.

Efforts have been underway for months by a group to purchase Warrior and to reopen the plant, and those efforts continue. Whether or not it happens in the near future remains to be seen. I do know there are serious efforts towards reopening under new ownership. Time will tell. (JKbrink) send me an email at: minnkotaoutdoors@msn.com

My 2090BT with a 115hp was the best riding boat I ever owned and I have owned many. It was truely incredible what it could do on Mille Lacs. The hull maybe a little dated by todays standards but it was way ahead of its time. Good luck finding a boat to suit your needs.

Corey, those efforts have been underway for well over a year. The group has now missed another boat show season, making 2 years in a row. Tuffy has launched a new 21' hull, Skeeter continues to improve their Walleye hull. Ranger still dominates, Yar-Craft is a player. So much has happened since Warrior closed that I think it will be a huge task to get back to where they were.

Don't take this wrong.........I hope they do come back, it would be good for the industry as a whole. I'm leary of the time between closing and the time before they could produce the first hull and sell it.

I wish them the best but think this same thread will be going next year at this time as it was last year. :sorry:

Seems to me they had a pretty good product and a lot of loyal customers. So for a small company located in MN someone could probably make a buck if it could be bought at the right price.

I've been really pulling for Warrior to open back up. I really liked their designs and was close to buying one before they closed down. I hope to be reading in the next year that someone with a good business sense and plans to be semi aggressive at trying to make it to the top, purchases and opens Warrior boats back up.

Jinx,

What boat do you have now that is such a better ride???

I dont' have one right now...i'm on the hunt for a new boat. that being said, i've ridden in many (and owned 5 boats) and by far the best smoothest ride i've been in was a Ranger 621VS even in very rough water. I really liked the ride of my Starcraft Superfisherman as well...

The reason for the rough ride in my Warrior, IMHO, was due to the consol being so far back in the boat. This caused the front of the hull to come out of the water in big waves and come smashing down hard. If you were in anything bigger than 2ft waves you were going to get pounded hard at almost any speed...but hey, that's just my .02

How was your 2090 propped jinx? Was it propped for speed or lift. If it wasn't right you will get the bow pounding, Ranger 621 you rode in prolly had a 4 blade which gave it more lift(not in the bow) and 621's are a little bit more bow heavy. Goota get that stern up a little to keep the keel cutting through the waves. The right prop can make a HUGE difference in ride.

Jinx,

The further back the console the better the ride. Certainly could be how your boat was proped. The Warrior 2090 is one of the best rides out there due to the length and width. The 621 has much more room in width but not a better ride. I have spent a lot of time in both boats and can asure you the 621 or 620 is not a better ride.

Right on about propping the boat right. The correct prop will make all the difference in the world.

Not bashing Jinx, but it IS hard to believe that the boat is as harsh as he states when I have read way too many posts and people stating it is the best ride. My first conclusion was something wasn't setup correctly.

So having the wrong prop would easily cause problems as he stated having.

I'm thinking the ride would be better sitting farther aft, also.

Your windshield is different, Is that factory? Do you have a center section? Mine is an 06, and I LOVE it.

yes it came as is. no center section. Cant get to much drier of a ride than a warrior.
