Has anybody used these props?? It looks like a great deal with the seperate hub and prop housing. You wouldn't have to replace the whole thing if you knock a blade off. The replacement housing costs about $55. verses $125 for a new prop. Where I live in the summer, there are "plenty" of ways to loose a blade and this way I would only have to carry a housing. What do you think........??

I have an Express on order. Your thoughts make sense on these products.

I'm not familiar with this prop. Could there still be a chance to strip the gears? They must be counting on the blades breaking prior to the hub damaging the spline.

This sounds similar to how Mercury runs their props. I have a Laser II 13.?? X 21 that I run on a Merc Alpha Gen II. I hit a barge rope with it the first time I used it on the Ohio River (4" thick braid). The prop slipped a little, but then dug in again. I was running WOT and darn lucky not to loose the lower gear housing. That prop is stainless and it shredded the rope. The fact that it slipped a little there( and previously in the day on open water) has caused me to go to a different main prop.

In theory, it sounds ike a great idea for those boating in areas where prop damage is common. Hopefully, the blade design and overall general machining is good too. Let us know how it works out if you decide to go this route.

Was the hub slipping? Was it a conventional rubber press fit hub or a flo-torque?

I PURCHACED ONE TWO WEEKS AGO. WHEN I FINALY FIGURED OUT THE WASHERS AND SUCH IT DID NOT RUN TRUE. IT RUBBED IN ONE SPOT. TOOK IT RIGHT OFF AND RETURNED IT. I'LL STAY WITH OEM.

Flotorque. It didn't appear to be damaged.

I got one a year ago while my other was being fixed. I still run it. It gets me on plane quick and I run in the upper end of of my RPM range. I haven't had any problem.
