Just a thought.....It would be nice to check out some of the rigs, (boats) that everyone has. Might give us some Ideas on how to set one up for different types of fishing. Might even recognize one out on the water.

I think thats a cool idea.
What do you have in mind?
One thought. I could possibly set up a page on Yahoo photos and we could post pics of our boats on it.

Come on. I can't believe this hasn't sparked more interest. I posted a message about a month ago asking if people ever attended or had interest in attending a boat show made up of personal boats, not like the manufacturer boat shows of spring. I got some great feed back. I have to believe most people would be interested in seeing what others have done with their rig's. Let Andy know how you feel.

I'm in. However, I'll probably need to get a mop to wipe up all the drool from looking at the cool rigged boats.
When I was looking for a boat it was so great to get in each one and see and feel my way around each beauty......oh am I still talking boats, it's hard to tell.
Good Luck

Kevin-
Do you want me to set up a page we can submit pics to, then?
Or did you have something else in mind.

Ok, havent heard anything from Kevin.
Might as well try to start something.
Mail me your pics at perchjerker1us@yahoo.com and I will post them.
I was thinking of just posting the password to the site, but it might get out of hand.

How are you setting up the site? Is there a limit to the number of pictures? Is it possible to post a description of each picture? If there are multiple pictures, will they be group together by the boat/owner?
I will have pictures to you soon. I have to go out and take some with the digital camera.
Thanks,
Roger

I can do it that way, I beleive. You are giving me some good ideas, Rog.
I know you can enter captions. And multiple pics should be no problem. The only thing is the site is limited to 30 meg. What I was going to do was edit the pics in Adobe Photoshop to reduce the file size if necessary.
Should be able to post quite a few boats that way.

I really appreciate and respect your ambition, especially when willing to resize photos. I think a limit to the photo file size should be set. This will help save space and free up your time for fishing. The last thing I want this to become is a burden on anyone. It should be fun, not full-time. Also, as I mentioned previously, if there is anything I can do to assist this effort, please let me know.
BTW, where are you from? I live in Reed City, MI.
Thanks,
Roger

Guys,
This is a great idea. My time has not come yet to purchase my own walleye rig so I would sure love to see everyone else's. Go for it.

Perch.
Expect a few Digitals of the Walleye Express 1, my river sled right away. And I'll send along a picture of the Grady in a couple weeks. Good chance to show off my new carpeting in the sled. I'll keep them 45k and do both inside and out if thats O.K..

Guys-
Heres a link to the photo site I started. Its pretty basic to make it simple. Just click on the boat pics icon, I created folders for each guy who submits pics. I have only had a few responses so far, maybe if people see what it looks like it will generate a little more intrest. To enlarge the pics just click on them.
Submit your pics to walleye_central_boats@yahoo.com

Great Job on a great start. BTW, nice rig.
Roger
I think we need to change the name of the post to get more attention.
My hats off to you PJ - I've been viewing this site for the past two years and started posting about a year ago. You have always been a class act on this site....Thanks for getting this idea kicked off.
I agree this is a neat idea and could go along way. One thing that would be valuable would be a little more detail such as a picture of the inside of each persons rig along with the exterior pic. I know nice looking rigs are great, but they don't put more fish in your boat~ let's see how you have er' setup.
I'll be sending you mine as soon as I get her back next Friday....she's getting the LMS 240 put in while I'm out of town.
Have a great week everyone.

Nice start. I'll try to get some pics to you at some point. Don't have too many pictures right now that are exclusive to the rig. I do fish for other species(not just eyes) so I don't know how exclusive you want to be for rigging. I'm more multi purpose. :-)

There is a duck hunting boat web site with a "readers rigs " page. When I was brain storming how to build a blind I was addicted to that page. It was recammended to me by many waterfowlers. I think fisherman would show simular interest in a readers rigs page on WC when setting up fishing boats. I think its a great idea.

Jess-
I did start another post with a title "site to post your boat pics" or something.
It got removed. Kinda ticked me off.

Do you think we could get Scott to make this part of the Walleye Central page?
