You can get hand lining equipment through Lake Side Fishing Shop (www.lakesidefishingshop.com). The best reels are made by A & S. They run around $165 each and can be hard to get. Another brand of reels is called Red Cap, they run a little less that the A & S reels. Have the reel spooled with un-coated line - less water resistance.

Ditto on Off Shore Tackle. I have a recent catalog from them at about $139.00 but I just saw some at the Bass Pro shop north of detroit, Pontiac area for $99.00. I also copied a post by Keith Krych, off this site I think back in January . You might check the archives.

Hammertime, e-mail me your questions and I'll be happy to answer them.

If you live in the Detroit area, stop at the Lake St. Clair Walleye Associations's next meeting on June 21st at 7:30pm.

We meet at the Eastpointe eagles hall on Eight mile road just west of Gratiot in Eastpointe.

A lot of our "river rats" handline and will be glad to fill you in.

Good fishing

Lakeside is a much better place to buy your handlining gear. Better prices and have better quality reels. Ask for Paul. Take Keith K. up also he knows his stuff and willing to help out fellow anglers.
