Here in the far northeast of PA I've been listening to the rain since about 2:30 AM. Now I wanted to get out and do some work on the boat to get it ready for next weekend, so at 6:00 AM, I finally hear the rain stop and get out of bed to look out the window. Yup, the rain has stopped and it is now snowing! Go figure? Hope someone else is having better weather. We were in a drought emergency here but in the past month there's been alot of rain. Don't know if it will pull us out of the emergency but it sure has helped. We sure don't have those severe conditions of the midwest. Hope you fellows get alot of rain soon.

Lake Erie has been tore up for the last month. Have been on 5 out of state fishing trips in the last month, Michigan and St. Catherins, Ontario, trout and salmon fishing. Have not been able to go fishing any of the 5 times.
Between working bad hours and the bad weather, I am begining to wonder. By now, we usually are catching big walleye at Huron, Ohio pier. Buddy was out a couple weeks ago. Nothing, except wall to wall bait fish. Has been dirty water since because of wind or high rivers. Good fishing when it happens. Allen Nielsen.

Was talking to some guys who went up for the opener.( North Ontario). They froze nearly to death but they caught tons of fish, they almost didn't go because of crappy weather but bad weather kept the crowds down. Not sure if I am still mad about not being able to get time off of work.
Here in ne SD it has been a terrible spring and only the very small northerns are biting. (they always bite don't they) Finally caught one walleye and could hardly find it't stomach it was so shrunk up from not feeding. I've been wearing the same clothes I wear ice fishing except for the big mittens.

We have had frost in the last two mornings (rare here at this date) and as much as 8 inches of snow on the 18th at the NY/Ma border (record) A lot of trees have leafed out and the wet snow pulled down a lot of branches and some whole trees. In April on the same date this year we had days in the 90's,....everyone put away winter clothes,...seems like even people who have lived here their whole lives can never remember that in New England anything can and often does happen.
