I have a newer boat and the drive to learn. I want to start fishing the river before MN open season. Yes it's open now but closing soon and I know we have open water, I'm getting the Itch after that strum of nice weather. It's snowing now but I was out Nov 20th cold and some snow. It would be great if a RED WING fisher wanted to go one of the nicer days that will becoming.
Please Let me Know,
Jason

The 10th and 11th I'm going back out there I know one day I'll have one other guy with me but looking for smoeone that knows the area and wants to fish. The other day I'll be by myself and I'm not sure about the whole launching and loading in the current? I'm not sure if the other guys will get pissed if it takes me alittle longer walking to get the truck, boat?

Are you launching out of Evert's?
You can get info on what and where to use/go there and usually somebody will help you launch and retrieve your boat.
Maybe give them a call and see, or hit the IDO website, Dean's or somebody from Evert's is usually on.
Make sure you let the boat drain before you drive up the ramp though.

I wouldnt worry about taking too long to get loaded or unloaded. Last time I was out, there was 3 ramps being used & traffic isnt that heavy yet! Usually when traffic increases there will be offers to help. I fish alone there 50% of the time & load-unload alone without a hitch. I usually try to angle trailer a little bit downriver which makes it a bit easier for loading. As previously posted pull boat up launch until you can walk around back of boat & let trailer drain. The ramp wont become a skating rink & it makes it easier for everyone. I hope to be down there again next week. Any questions drop me a pm.
