Hey now!this chain is a wonderful place to fish,my wife and i went two years ago and did ok,the walleye fishing was very tough though, depends on the time of year, the fall is the better time to fish it,no boating restrictions that i can think of.i dug up some information that like i said is two years old,but it will give you an idea of prices, the cabins are very nice, all you bring is food and drink,,cabins have 1 bedroom, sleeps 4, 365.00 week,2 bedroom sleeps 6, 435.00 week 3,bedroom sleeps 8,465.00 week 5 bedroom sleeps 10, 515.00 week, these are 1999 rates.week runs from sat.2:00 to sat 8:00.the name is CISCO LAKE RESORT,N3994 E CISCO LAKE RD.WATERSMEET MICH.the owners are Dan,Grace Kolczak.(906-358-4305)they are great people, your boat has it's own slip and if you need to plug in your boat bring an extention coard or two,it's not that far from the juice but i don't know how long your coard is,the cabins are right next to the docks.each cabin has a screened in porch,,and they don't like theves, your stuff will not be touched by anybody, nice point to go by,good luck, hope that is enough info,if not let me know, ill try to answer any questions that you might have.......DR.LUND

I tryed to do this earlyer and dont know why it didn't work but here go's again,CISCO LAKE RESORT N3994 E CISCO LAKE RD.WATERSMEET MICH.Dan and Grace Kolczak,,(906-358-4305)my wife and i were there two years ago so i have the 1999 rates, there close,,1 bedroom(sleeps 4)365.00 wk.(2 bedroom sleeps 6)435.00 week (3 bedroom sleeps 8)465.00 week (5 bedroom sleeps 10)515.00 week.week runs from sat,2:00 pm to sat 8:00 am. 14 ft fishing boat included with every cabin, motor 35.00 day or 150.00 per week.cabins are very nice, each has screened in pourch, chairs table,i think all cabins have boat slip included, only feet from the water, bring an extention cord or two if you need to plug your boat in,if your close to the main dock it has power.no extra coast, the fishing is real good in the fall, the locals told me to fish any rock humps you find for walleyes, smallies are abundant around any rock bottom, largemouth can be found in the channels around wood or submerged brush. If you have any other questions post it to me and ill try to help you out,p.s.no boating restrictions that i can think of.....good luck hope this helps, it's a nice place, you'll want to go back,,,,,,,,,,DR. Couldn't agree more Dr. Lund. It's a great place. You should see the house going up on West Bay lake, it's on one of the islands by East Bay lake and the house (full log with slate roof) is 17,000 square feet! I must say though it is well hidden! If you ever want to share some tips send me an e-mail, I get up to the Cisco Chain a couple of times per year, it's never enough.

To-FJH1....Im no expert on this chain by any streach but i do know what to look for on new water, what i have found is if i can use the (B)word, largemouth bass love to hang in the channel between cisco lake and thousand island,in the brush.also the channel between cisco and morley,if thats the one that you go under the bridge.Thousand island lake has mega structure, unlike the water around here,it's all rock and sand, the humps in thousand island say that are in 25 to 35 feet hold the eyes in the daytime, at night however when you come into thousand island from cisco lake you want to keep right past the first island on your left and head to the next one out in the middle,,watch the rock bar on the right side of this one as it's clearly marked by flags,,this island has a nice little cottage on it only about 150 yards long, jig the shallows around the whole thing or throw a husky jerk around the rock pile thats marked by this island.trolling also produces walleye and the occasional big smallie,we like the 15 to 18 Ft range,we didn't have any dipsy divers but i wish we did they were also deeper than 25 Ft,,,You heard the old saying (DOG DAY'S OF SUMMER)AUGUST is the worst time to fish for eye's there.an older couple next to us had a guide for a day,250.00 and not a walleye in eight hours, and charged the full amount+lunch.im not slammin guide's but that lake isn't that hard to fish if you know what to look for.....need anything else let me know, like to help,i check the general board all the time,,,good fishing all,,,,,,,
Thanks Dr. Lund, I completely agree with you about the deeper humps on Thousand - excellent mid-day fishing. Our best luck in early morning or late afternoon is in the wood. We have found lots of good deep wood on Thousand (back in the northwest corner around the islands). These islands drop off to 15' to 20' really quick and these deep trees hold fish. Also, Michigan Bay on Big Lake. My tournament partner and I have a friend who owned a place on Big so we fished that lake a lot. A couple of weeks ago we were experimenting with a trolling pass on Cisco that would include the humps. Only caught one really nice smally though. Lindsley has some really good wood, especially by the outlet to Morley, but we can't get anything to go in it. Check out the bar off of Camp Sneeze and Blow Island on East Bay. The bar comes off of the island and is not on any map that I know of - it holds nice mid day eyes. Also, check out the structure off of the island in Mamie. When you come out of Bent's Camp, don't go to the island straight out, but rather to the island off to the right. There are some nice rock humps that hold nice morning and mid day 'eyes. We've caught some really nice walleyes in Fish Hawk, but you have to get in there before the weeds get up too high - we troll this lake. Record can also be a good wood fishing bet - if anything the commute is awesome -love those channels! I hope to get up there agian this season, probably late in the year.
