Todd: There are many places to get walleyes in both the US and the Canadian side. Canadian side go to Monument Bay and fish all of the side bays. Stop at Monument Bay Resort and get directions up to Painted Rock. Lots of good water in that area. The US water the Islands of Flag, Brush, Little Oak, Hay and all the way out to Garden. The south side of the Angle main land around to the west. If you have a Marine Radio then stay on channel 9. Many of the launchs from the Rainy River come out there too. You will have a great time. Lots of other resorts on Oak and Flag. Good luck Fishing....Kaz

Todd,

I concur with Kaz's advice, one thing I would like to add is to bring plenty of warm clothes. I don't know where you are from but it has been very cold up north this spring. Today's high temp in Baudette was in the upper 30's. Oak Island is a great fishery and you should have a great time.

Take care and good fishing,

Bob M
